Hytale Ore & Resource Rarity Rankings

Resource availability ranked by rarity. Plan your farming routes and avoid progression bottlenecks.

Key insight: Not all "rare" materials are equal. Linen Scraps gate more recipes than any ore. Prioritize Skeleton farming and Dungeon exploration early to avoid mid-game stalls.

Kill Lizardmen in swamps or large creatures. Rarest leather type needed for backpack upgrades.

Ice caves in Zone 4 exclusively. Bring cold resistance gear before farming.

Resource Rarity FAQ

Why are Linen Scraps so important?

Linen Scraps are required for Repair Kits, many armor recipes, and backpack upgrades. They're the #1 bottleneck material that gates mid-game progression more than any ore.

Where do I find Adamantite?

Adamantite spawns very rarely in Zone 2 mountain areas. Don't farm specifically for it - you'll find small amounts while gathering Thorium. It's end-game material.

How do I get Medium Leather?

Medium Leather drops from Lizardmen and some larger creatures in swamp biomes. It's required for the large backpack upgrade - prioritize this for inventory space.
